Health begins deep within
We understood that today’s buyer approaches wellness as an aspirational lifestyle. Absent in the blossoming field of self-optimization, however, is genuine scientific rigor: most companies in the industry are led by self-professed amateurs, not experts. With a board of scientific advisors boasting no less than eight Nobel Prize-winning scientists, Elysium was perfectly positioned to upend this convention. With this in mind, our team knew the design system would have to make people curious about the science of life, give them real insight into their health, and offer tangible ways to take action based on the expertise of some of the world’s best scientists.
Bringing Big Science to the people
The brand identity we created gives Elysium the tools to bring hard science down to earth, and give people a sense of place in the march of scientific progress. We call this egalitarian notion: Big Science. Formalizing Big Science as Elysium’s new corporate ethos in a rousing manifesto, our design team worked to create a brand based on the symbolic union of people (i.e. the general public), represented by circular forms, and science (i.e. the scientific community), represented by a dot grid. In the process, we defined Elysium’s new brand architecture, anticipating the company’s extension into other verticals, products, and fields.
Creating the healthiest humankind in history
Elysium is currently rolling out their new brand across channels. The brand’s stated goal (defined with the help of Athletics) is “to create the healthiest humankind in history by uniting the collective ingenuity of the world’s best scientists.” An ambitious objective befitting an ambitious, talented company. We hope our design system supports them on the road ahead.
“This new brand has helped us launch new products and is loved internally and by customers. We're excited to continue rolling out the brand and extending its use for years to come.”
