As a revolution in technology, economics, and behavior reshapes how we move across the built environment, Aimsun’s transport simulation software helps thousands of international users model tomorrow’s smart mobility networks, today. You might not have heard of Aimsun, but if you live, travel, or do business in any of the world’s great cities — New York, London, Paris, Barcelona, Sydney, Toronto, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro, or Singapore — there’s a good chance their software simplifies your commute.

Our partnership with the company (which is headquartered in Barcelona and has offices in seven countries) began in early 2017 with the development of a forward-facing new visual and verbal identity. This included clarifying the Aimsun product offering, developing a new suite of audience-specific messaging, and simplifying their brand name from TSS-Transport Simulation Systems to simply Aimsun (the name of their iconic software).

The new brand honors Aimsun’s past twenty years, while more effectively communicating their vibrant personality and unique vision for the future of the industry. Having rolled out at tradeshows around the world, our work culminated in the design and development of a refreshed Aimsun digital experience. And finally, as testament to Aimsun’s many years of pioneering work in the mobility sector—and their new, hard-working identity system—the company was acquired by Siemens shortly after the brand’s unveiling.
