AAPI Inspirations

May is Asian / Pacific American Heritage Month, a time to reflect on the critical contributions, extraordinary achievements, and unique experiences of the AAPI community. Our team observed the month (in part) by sharing the AAPI individuals who inspire us in our work and life.

Jackie, Studio Experience Manager, is inspired by I.M. Pei, Chinese American architect (1917 – 2019)

Allison, Design Director, is inspired by the AAPI women rocking the food world, Jing Gao of Fly by Jing, The Pham sisters of Omsom, and Sana Javeri Kadri of Diaspora Co. (top to bottom)

Zander, Senior Strategist, is inspired by Isamu Noguchi, Japanese American artist and landscape architect (1904 – 1988)

Lorraine, Resource Manager, is inspired by Angela Dimayuga, Filipino American chef and fashion icon, formerly at Mission Chinese

Ellen, Designer, is inspired by Stephanie Mei Huang, Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary artist

Jackie, Studio Experience Manager, is (also) inspired by Jeremy Lin, Taiwanese American basketball player and New York legend

At a time when AAPI citizens (particularly women) face heightened intimidation and violence, Athletics stands in solidarity with our AAPI brothers and sisters. Learn more at Stop AAPI Hate.
