Athletics is looking for highly creative and motivated graphic, brand, and UX designers looking to work on brand and digitally-led creative projects. As an intern, you will contribute to the design and concepting of ideas, and support the creative team in delivering and maintaining our high standard of work.
Applicants are required to be able to legally work in the US, have a passion for your craft, and a strong desire to learn and apply your skills. It’s recommended that applicants have at least two years of design education or equivalent experience.
Athletics internships are 3 months in duration and are compensated at $18/per hour. Athletics works in a hybrid remote/in-person model from our studio in Brooklyn, NY. We encourage our interns to do the same, but are open to fully remote internships if the applicant can work New York hours.
Therefore we ask for a full-time, 3-month commitment as we feel this leads to the most successful experience for our interns. Our goal is to help interns learn tangible, real-world design skills, while also contributing to project teams in meaningful ways.
All interns receive mentorship from our seasoned creative team throughout the duration of the internship, as well as the opportunity for a 1:1 portfolio review before the end of the internship. We integrate our interns directly into our design team from day one.
Although we accept applications on a rolling basis, we generally hire interns for the summer, fall, and winter/spring, with application reviews beginning in March, July, and November, respectively. We are always on the lookout for talented designers so please do not hesitate to reach out.
