Athletics Internships
Athletics is always looking for highly creative and motivated individuals who are just getting started on their career journeys. As an intern, you will contribute directly to projects and work side by side with our team of seasoned creatives, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Applicants are required to be able to legally work in the US, have a passion for your craft, and a strong desire to learn and apply your skills. It’s recommended that applicants have at least two years of design education or equivalent experience.
Overview
Athletics paid internships are 3 months in duration. Athletics works in a hybrid remote/in-person model from our studio in Brooklyn, NY. We feel our interns gain the most valuable experience in the studio, so applicants should be able to work in-person approximately 3 days per week.
Therefore we ask for a full-time, 3-month commitment as we feel this leads to the most successful experience for our interns. Our goal is to help interns learn tangible, real-world skills, while also contributing to project teams in meaningful ways.
All interns receive mentorship from our seasoned team throughout the duration of the internship, as well as the opportunity for a 1:1 portfolio review before the end of the internship. We integrate our interns directly into our teams from day one.
Although we accept applications on a rolling basis, we generally hire interns for the summer, fall, and winter/spring. We are always on the lookout for talented designers so please do not hesitate to reach out no matter the time of year.

If you are applying for the design internship, you will have an opportunity to include a link to your portfolio or website and resume. If you do not have a portfolio or website, please include some work samples. A big plus for candidates with motion skills.
If you are applying for the strategy internship you will have an opportunity to include your resume and writing samples or website. Writing samples and website are not mandatory, but helpful.
If you are applying for the client experience internship you will have an opportunity to include your resume.
