Reflecting on Civic Space
What makes public space alluring? What, or who, for that matter, defines what is public and what is private? The Center for Architectureʼs exhibition ‘Open to the Public: Civic Space Now,ʼ explores contemporary urban public spaces constructed for congregation and contemplation. Athletics developed an identity applied to all touchpoints of the exhibition, supporting an immersive exploration into how community is designed in the modern world.
Collaborators: Kris Graves and Sam Lahoz
The spaces studied in the exhibition were divided into three themes: congregation, contemplation and circulation.
