Brooklyn Steel

Steeling Hearts and Minds

The Bowery Presents have pioneered New York’s indie rock concert scene since launching their first venue, The Mercury Lounge, in 1993. The company has responded to the growing desire for indie music spaces, opening diverse venues throughout the city and nationwide. Brooklyn Steel is their latest; an industrial iteration of what the Bowery Presents is known for—unique venues with incredible acoustics, indie music variety, and amazing performances. Housed in a retired steel mill on the border of Williamsburg and Bushwick, the identity created for BKS reflects the building’s history and spirit. The identity compliments the industrial space and surrounding neighborhood, providing concert-goers the feeling of an underground music experience with 1,800 friends.  Read more about Brooklyn Steel and The Bowery Presents in The New York Times.  Stay tuned for the full case study.
