Live from the Etsytorium

A few months ago, Athletics was invited by our friends at ScriptEd, an organization dedicated to empowering the tech leaders of tomorrow, to kick off a day of personal and professional development workshops at the headquarters of their partner, Etsy, in Dumbo. Our task: get ScriptEd’s Advanced Class high school students thinking about what it means to build a strong (personal) brand.

So this past Saturday, January 6th, two members of the Athletics strategy and writing team, Molly Carkeet and Zander Abranowicz, delivered a presentation, followed by a written exercise, focused on the importance of authenticity in brand design. Examining what makes certain personal and corporate brands (from Cardi B to Campbell’s Soup) so successful, Molly and Zander sought to inspire the students to embrace and confidently articulate their passions, skills, and experiences in preparation for the college search, and later, the job search.

We would like to extend a thank you to ScriptEd for organizing this valuable day of events, and to Etsy for hosting!

Stay tuned for more details on our partnership with ScriptEd in the coming months.
