Two entries in "Links"
Our buddy Stephen Fritz just updated his portfolio. Fritz is an old-school type of guy, a bona-fide design vet, and serious Bowie-phile.
When I first moved to New York, my first job was with Olive, a small interactive agency that Steve co-founded in 97. The true story is that I only got the job after physically sneaking into the building and knocking on the door. Fast friends ever since.
During my time at Olive, I worked with Steve on a variety of projects, and generally learned a lot.
Later Steve sold his share of Olive (they’re still around, btw) and these days he’s a CD over at IconNicholson doing real power-broker type stuff.
I’m glad Fritz decided to get comprehensive with his portfolio — I enjoyed the memory lane.

Yesterday Viewers Like You published an interview with the folks from Pinball Publishing, a small, sustainable/eco-friendly printing operation in Portland, Oregon. The interview takes a look at Pinball’s work and process, and comments on the benefits of having a good relationship with a printer.
Made me miss running a printing press.
